Ecosistant is a compliance management service. The platform provides insight into country-specific obligations for waste management and recycling. Additionally, Ecosistant offers useful tools to meet these obligations, for example regarding registration and product labeling. <\/p>


Ricardo: “Legal obligations outside recycling systems, such as the use of FSC certification or country of origin, are not covered, but every little bit helps. We are one of the first to use the tool in this way. We believe that this will bring us a lot in terms of ‘Next Level Retailing’. Information is more quickly accessible and always up-to-date.”<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The responsibility of EPR extends to product packaging. Cindy Musters, as Artwork Coordinator, is responsible for the packaging design of our own brands, among other things. She explains: “One of the requirements within EPR is the mandatory inclusion of logos and symbols related to waste processing and recycling. This includes recycling symbols, material codes, and responsibility logos. These still vary by country, as do the specific regulations, which can sometimes be interpreted differently. The PPWR will require harmonized labeling for all of Europe in the future. This will provide much clarity, but we’re currently in the middle of the transition phase. There are countries that are working towards an intermediate step in preparation for harmonization. The Disposal Guide in the Netherlands is an example of this. The logos of Spain and Portugal also already look more similar. So much is changing now.
