10 years of growth and development!

From Marketing Intern to Marketing Manager and now Key Account Lead. Wouter has been working at Packit with great pleasure for years in various roles: “As a company, Packit is constantly in motion and offers employees the opportunity to grow along with the organization.”

Growth opportunities

Wouter drives from his hometown of Tilburg to Packit. “I started at Packit as a Marketing Intern, and because of the great graduation project, I didn’t mind commuting back and forth for six months at all. Because of the enjoyment I have at Packit, I am actually still doing it.”

According to him, that value lies partly in the development and growth opportunities that Packit offers. “During my internship, I was given the opportunity to set up the Marketing department together with an experienced colleague: from online marketing and brand management to sales support and category management.” His first assignment was to turn Dumil® into a strong and recognizable brand. “From a new packaging line to campaigns with 24Kitchen and RTL, it was very cool to do.”

Other brands followed, including Julia and Smile, with the goal of optimizing the household category for retailers. From that role, Wouter developed into an experienced Category Manager and later Marketing Manager, with knowledge of assortments, trends, strategy, and execution. Wouter explains: “With our knowledge of products, markets, consumer behavior, and data, we realize concrete growth opportunities for our customers.”

“At Packit, we truly do it together, all from a ‘Can-Do mentality’ and a strong customer focus.”

Key Account Lead

After various marketing roles, Wouter has been Key Account Lead since last year, making him responsible for a specific customer group within Packit. Wouter explains: “I help the customer achieve their commercial objectives, translate customer needs into internal actions, and ensure our organization is aligned. Of course, I don’t do that alone, but together with colleagues from Sales, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Marketing. Ultimately, it’s about collaboration; if the processes of both organizations align well, it ensures we can realize growth together with our customers. My task is to ensure all links come together in the right way. Additionally, I visit the stores weekly to see how the shelves look and where opportunities lie in the various countries where we are active. Seeing what happens in the stores helps to continuously improve the assortment and our service. That variety gives me energy, but even better is the collaboration with my colleagues.”

Can-Do mentality

“At Packit, we truly do it together, all from a ‘Can-Do mentality’ and a strong customer focus. It is wonderful to see what we have already achieved together, but especially the great plans we still have as an organization. What makes it extra fun is, of course, the visibility of our products in stores—products that everyone uses daily. That gives an extra sense of pride, satisfaction, and connection. I happily get into my car every day for my colleagues and customers.”
